John Herod, the leader of the anti-Doom coup, used Necrotoxins against the populace of Latveria.
Survivors often suffer temporary insanity, but some develop physical mutations and a permanent madness; these latter are referred to as "mutalocos."
The venom of certain crabs may provide some protection against Necrotoxins.
