Medical Concepts of Marvel Knights 2099

Mutants
Ever since the Mutant Registration Act was successfully enacted, all infants are checked for the mutant x-gene shortly after birth.
Those who are found to have the gene are tattooed with a number on their forearm (not exactly a subtle allusion) and started on daily drugs to suppress the emergence of their mutant powers during puberty.
If their powers start to develop despite the medication, they are arrested by the Sentinels and their dose is tested and adjusted until they are under control again.

Brain in a Jar
The classic science-fiction trope makes an appearance in Mutant 2099.
Reed Richards survived the Battle of the Baxter Building, but was severely injured.
Only his brain could be saved and it is kept alive in a special glass container.
He has two android bodies he alternatively uses: a classic robot-looking body for his normal activities (or as normal as Reed Richards gets), and a body based on the Thing that he uses for his super-hero activities.
